I personally read this as a public realization of the danger of the Employee Free Choice (No guaranteed vote) coming to power. The public knows this will mean higher costs and fewer choices.

Gallup wrote:
PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup finds organized labor taking a significant image hit in the past year. While 66% of Americans continue to believe unions are beneficial to their own members, a slight majority now say unions hurt the nation's economy. More broadly, fewer than half of Americans -- 48%, an all-time low -- approve of labor unions, down from 59% a year ago.

I also think that today's unions remain too archaic and seem to be almost devolving. The SEIU is acting like it's 1950 and may soon start driving around with tommyguns in the back seat running brothels.

Ohhh NC, you are such a dinosaur. Nowadays is it AK-47 knockoffs that they use. I also hear that they are tying out using aluminum baseball bats for pounding heads. I don't think they will be successful there. there is nothing like the sound of bone on wood to make the union thugs' heart sing....
