I love how unions try to convince people that being unionized will save their jobs no matter what...

here's a hint, if the cost and quality of your work aren't better for the company than the cost and quality of someone else doing your work, it doesn't matter what union you have, you WILL be unemployed. Your work will either go elsewhere, or your company will go out of business. Neither case bodes well for you.

The ONLY job security out there is to do a better job, at a lower price than anyone else. period.

green1 - you are correct.

If anyone is in doubt simply consider the statement - "We should all be paid the same regardless of the quality of our work", to which the statement "You should be paid a high wage for doing a mediocre job" is not a far reach.

We, and our jobs exist in a competitive world - truth. The socialist view is not sustainable in this market. If you want a union for the benefit of "buying power" fly at `er, but it had best not make you uncompetitive.
